To Continue the Museum’s Growth, NORM Needs Your Support

Your support is needed to keep the museum going, paying its bills, and planning for its future. We are asking for your support for the following funds:   the GENERAL FUND, the BUILDING FUND, the TRACK & OVERHEAD FUND, the CAR FUND and the ENDOWMENT FUND.  In the future as projects develop, we may add additional funds for that specific project.

General Fund:  The General Fund is used to meet the operating costs of the Museum. Any expenses not covered by one of the special funds are paid from this fund. Besides expenses like utilities and insurance and the upkeep to our buildings and grounds, shortfalls in other funds are also covered by this fund.   Contributing to the General Fund allows the directors to use your contributions where they are needed the most.   

Building Fund:  The Building Fund has been used over the years to pay off the mortgages on the Museum’s carbarns.   Going forward, any contributions made to the Building Fund will be banked and used towards the construction of our next carbarn.

Track and Overhead Fund:  Contributions to the Track and Overhead Fund will be used for the maintenance and expansion of the Museum’s demonstration railroad’s track and overhead.

Car Fund:  Contributions to the Car Fund will be used for the maintenance and restoration Museum’s trolleys.

Endowment Fund:  Funds designated here go into the Museum’s endowment fund for long term support of the Museum.
